Jake Paul will face Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated boxing contest in Dallas this evening as the former UFC fighter fights for the first time since leaving the organization.
In recent years, YouTuber Paul has amassed a 6-1 professional boxing record,
including defeating MMA fighters Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (the latter a former UFC champion)
and defeated UFC great Anderson Silva on points. However, the 26-year-old suffered his first defeat, losing to Tommy Fury.
Fury, half-brother of world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson, lost that long-awaited match in Saudi Arabia but won on points.
Now, Paul will be looking to bounce back against fellow American Diaz.
Diaz, 38, has been a longtime favorite of MMA fans, but he achieved crossover fame when
When he defeated Conor McGregor in March 2016, five months before losing to the Irishman in a narrow decision.
Last September, Diaz won his final UFC fight by submission of Tony Ferguson,
before his attention turned to his boxing debut against Paul.
