Huge Galaxy S23 camera update rolling out in the US and China

Samsung claimed a few weeks ago that it will improve the camera performance of the Galaxy S23 series with a software update in June.

After delaying the update for a few weeks, the company finally rolled out the June 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23 series last week. Now, the update is rolling out in China and the US as well.

In the US, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra are getting the new update with firmware version S91xUSQU1AWF3.

This update is for carrier-locked versions of the three phones. This update improves the overall performance of the cameras.

As per previous reports, the new software update also brings 2x zoom option in portrait mode to the camera app.

It also fixes some issues related to autofocus, and the image processing style in Night Mode has been improved.

Some users also claim that the animations are more smooth and the haptics are better. The June 2023 security patch fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

Go to Settings » Software Update and tap on Download and Install to check for new software updates.

You can also choose to download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database when it is available.

Then you can use Windows PC and Odin tool to manually flash the firmware.
